i swapped a mint condition rebel pro for a powertrack which i sent on to another mnetter who was after one. it was supposed to be in working order. was told of missing cap from front wheel. this later turned out to be a faulty front wheel. mnetter i sent off to finds it unuseable. wheel was fine at faster speed(i.e running). but when going at slower pace was all over the place.
mnetter i sent off to has since been told from manufacturer this is caused by misuse and very poor care
horsemadgal says she was selling for someone else so had no idea it was broken.
luckily i sold on very very cheaply to mnetter as i did a swap. and hopefully will be able to break down for spares and get some of her money back.
perhaps hormadgal had no idea it was broken.
but feedback forum is here for a reason to tell honest opinions of peoples transactions.
Thought I should come and say that I was the buyer of the powertrack. The front wheel seemed ok on receipt but rapidly got very bad and on examination it was clear that it was old, had very worn bearings and had not been greased or oiled in a long time My DP has cleaned it all and replaced the bearings and it does run better now. I dont really think it is fit for much use though. I was going to sell it but will try and break it down. I didnt contact horsemadgal as she had said she was selling on behalf of a friend and would therefore not necessarily know about the wheel. Seeing her ad for a matching liner she found in her garage did make me wonder.
I have also bought and swapped for some lovely things from Horsemadgal. A lovely footmuff, some clothes and a bag. I posted on her other feedback thread further down too I think...will bump it!
Well I am in shock here! Wish I had been notified of this thread before finding it now.
elmoandella came to my home, checked the Powertrack and was happy to swap for a car seat which she originally advertised for £30. She then sold it to pushchair. I have no idea why pushchair didnt come to me direct as it was advertised on mumsnet for sale at this time.
My 4 year old had a spin in the Powertrack and it seemed fine to me. I did not knowingly swap a faulty buggy.
I asked elmoandella if pushchair asked to be refunded, though may be difficult as 4 people involved. I was told it was ok as she would re-sell.
I also confirmed that Powertrack 360s have a common problem of the front wheel wobbling which can be rectified by a screw adjustment (to elmoandella by e-mail and to pushchair via a link of this forum). I have had no reply to this from either.
The Powertrack in question is currently being sold and has a bidder on eBay with a starting bid of £29.99. It was also previously listed on the mumsnet for sale forum, so not sure how it can be deemed as unuseable or not fit for much.
I have never been asked to refund or to swap back, if either elmoandella or pushchair had done so I would have been happy to come to some sort of agreement.
Indeed I would be grateful if anyone with a problem with me would e-mail me first as I am only willing to help if anyone is unhappy with any transaction they have with me.
i knew pushchair was interested in your pwertwin. she knew i wanted new home for rebel.
you knew i was passing onto someone else. and fwiw i passed on at same price as you were selling.£40 which was £30 i was looking for my rebel and £10 diesel money to go from my house to your house.
you pointed out missing cap. but said thats all it was and was in working order. you did point out other faults which was fantastic.
and if you genuinly sold on for a friend and she mislead you to the condition of front wheel then myself and pushchair agreed this could be the case.
this is why we never went down the route of refund. as it wasn't worth it in hassle as it was more than likely not your fault.
but was also rather suspect that you found a titanium footmuff exactly the same as the powertrack in your cupboard to sell a short while after the powertrack?? surely that should be in your friends cupboard (in dubai??)
so in all honesty perhaps you had one of your own that happens to match. i dont really want to continue on this matter. as it seems we will go round in circles.
this is a feedback forum for people feedback on transactions they had.
elmo, I don't want to go round in circles with you either. Yes this is a feedback forum, you have said yourself it was more than likely not my fault, so why bring it all up on here when I wasn't here to defend myself. FWIW, the titanium liner was my own, I did have a titanium Powertrack also, I sold it to auntiefi over a year ago, feel free to contact her.
After swithering about,[which is something I am prone to], I decided the jane powertrack sold to me had had an old wheel, that it was not to do with horsemadgal as she sold it on behalf of a friend, that it was saleable with a full description and having now heard from horsemadgal I know that the liner was hers from her old powertrack. I hope that this clarifies my position.
