Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this, I assume there is a Product Review forum somewhere, but I thought that this forum would have plenty of people with an opinion and advice on this topic.
DH and I decided to start the 5:2 this week so we wanted something reliable we could weigh ourselves on. We have an old set of Salter mechanical scales but I have never really trusted their accuracy. They tend to stick a bit and your weight can vary by a pound or two each time you try.
At the weekend I went in to Argos and bought some electronic scales. They are Weightwatchers slimline glass precision scale. Not especially expensive but seemed to be comparable in price to most other models.
Anyway, I weighed myself on Sunday and resolved to only weight myself a week later. However, DH did not have that patience but he complained last night that he seemed to have put on 41bs since yesterday. Then this morning he got on again and had apparently lost a whole stone overnight!. So I tried myself and my first reading had me 121bs down from Sunday, but when I got on a minute later I had put 8lbs of it back on!
In other words they seem like utterly, unreliable crap.
So I would much appreciate it if people here could let me know what they use and trust.
