I've been doing 5:2 for a while; today in the Times there was a piece about Dr Varady's work suggesting that 4:3 is more effective - actually it appeared to be EOD (Every Other Day i.e. alternate day) rather than the e.g. fast Mon, Wed and Fri I'd assumed was meant by 4:3.
I've been having a break over xmas but will be starting again next week when DD is back at school - so now I'm wondering whether to stick with 5:2 or try 4:3. I'd be interested to hear of other people's experience - pros and cons of the various approaches. My feeling is that alternate day would be difficult in practice to fit with family life - 2 or 3 days fasting in the week on predictable days sounds more achievable.
Thanks!
