Just that really!

I am starting 5:2 from next week and as a bit of extra inspiration wanted to know who much weight everyone has lost since starting the plan and how long this has taken to lose.

A good chance to boast about your achievements!!!

Thanks so much :-)

Bumping this, as I'd love to hear some success stories too. I started today and I'm feeling a bit miserable. I'm not really that hungry, just missing the comfort that food brings. I need some motivation ...

I've been doing it for 7 months and have lost 7 kgs.

I have another 2 kilos to go until I'm at my goal weight (2 months until my 40th :) ).

Sylvana - but you only have to miss the comfort food brings for a day. That's the beauty of it. It's not like other diets/regimes/whatever where you're restricted the entire time - low fat, zero sugar, no carbs, etc - none of which, for me at least, are sustainable long-term. I like all of those things way too much to cut them out of my diet indefinitely.

On 5:2 you cut things out of your diet for 2 days, and then enjoy them on the other 5. And you get to lose weight while you're at it.

For me, anyway - what's not to love?!

I started in June, and have lost 31lbs. I've gone down three dress sizes and have ridiculous quantities of energy!

Yes, I agree Grand it's a fantastic plan. I feel much better today and i have lots of energy. Lucy did you fast more than 2 days a week to lose that much?

Nope. I fast two days a week. I only eat lunch and dinner (no snacks) on NFDs , but I do have as much lunch and dinner as I fancy and don't count calories.

I been going for 7 weeks now and have lost 7kg. To put that in context though, I have another 40kg to go.Blush
I think it's great and am not finding it too miserable at all.

I've lost about 10lb, and am at the weight I wanted to be - actualy lower than I thought I was aiming for, but that's where I've settled down. Thinking of moving to 6:1, but weirdly quite enjoy the fast days now. Though I also love the feast days ...!

EATmum
I've stuck with 5:2 (well not this week) even though I hit target ten months ago
BUT
I let my weekends really relax and sometimes have 750 in a fast supper .....
then again TDEE is only 1500 now

Wow, Sauvignon, that's amazing. That must feel like such an incentive to keep going. :)
