Hi all!

Have stopped lurking and decided to join in. I started last week. Have completed 3 fast days so far and have only lost 0.9lb which is disheartening in itself , but also - I am struggling to eat to my TDE on non fast days. What can I do? Is it vital to eat to it? It's 2000 by the way, as I am 14st 10 ( the shameShock)
Also- any ideas why I haven't lost? I typically struggle to lose weight anyway but this seems crazy when I'm eating so much less than before.

TIA

You only started last week? Keep at it.

It can take some people a couple of weeks for any weight loss to show on the scales.

I know what you say about not eating all your calories. some days you just don't want it all. I don't force myself to eat more than I want.

It can - and should be- a slow process losing weigh. Keep going.

Thanks! It's just that as I'm so overweight and have done 3 fast days, I expected to see that big loss that people get on their first week- I got nothing!:/ boo! Shock

Give it time. Don't force yourself to eat if you are not hungry. Part of this process is learning to listen to our bodies rather than watching the clock. My suggestion would be to keep away from the scales for a couple of weeks.

nickname do you have any underlying medical problems that may be making weightloss hard. To get overweight in the first place you must have been eating more than 2000 cals so I'm wondering why it's now difficult for you to eat that amount (hence wondering if any other issues are at play).

Hi bosh

I wondered the same thing last year and had a thyroid test done- it came back clear, which points to used error, ie I'm not dieting 'properly'!Grin
