After reading a book that pinkcustard recommended I have decided to do the 16/8 fast.

Is anyone else doing this, have you lost weight?

Are you counting the cals within the 8 hour period of eating?

If there is another thread just for this woe can some one direct me to it please?

I'm doing it most days coupled with the 5:2.

I'm essentially not deciding which days I'm fasting until late afternoon (when I eat for the first time) and then seeing if the 500 satisfies me enough to then stop eating that day (and count is a fast day).

The vast majority of the time I only eat during an 8 hour period - before I even started 5:2 I never ate breakfast and quite often didn't eat til 2 or 3pm.

Glad you found the book useful Ihate, how is it going?

I've had a disastrous weekend, due to wine, but am back on it today, and have at least managed to fit in some exercise to hopefully counteract the damage!

Really well thanks.

I eat from 10am till 6pm.

I'm exercising by walking the dog 3 times a day.

My fit bit says I'm doing between 6/8 miles everyday.

I haven't found it difficult at all.

Hopefully I will lose a bit of weight!smile

What is it?

Fast for 16 hours then eat for the remaining 8 grin

Obviously not constantly eat for the 8 hours!

I eat between 10 and 6pm everyday and fast for the rest of the time.

Going well so far.
