It's not recommended for nursing mothers.

You had a baby just nine weeks ago. No need to rush into losing the baby weight - give your body a chance to recuperate, eh?

I don't think you should be looking at anything like this just yet. Your milk supply will be affected. 9 weeks is not long enough for you to recover, establish bf and start dieting.

There is someone on the main thread (I think) doing this diet while breast feeding. I think her baby is older than 9 weeks though. From what I remember she has no problems with supply and her thinking is that this diet is working well for her.

Maybe try doing a search? Or have a trawl through the last thread?

How much weight have you list so far? How much more do you have to lose?
I lost nearly all my pg weight very quickly. It may have been the breastfeeding. But many other breastfeeders don't lose as quickly as I did.
I strongly advise NOT to diet, if bfing @ 9 wks.

I started 5:2 when I was ebf my 9 week old dd.
Still 5:2ing. Still ebf. Baby thriving. Now 4 mo.
Have lost just over a stone in about 8 weeks.

Although I should say I know hat fasting is "technically" not recommended while ebf.

I lost weight faster this time than previously (ebf but no 5:2)
