Pregnant with the merina coil

I'm desperate for someone who has been in a similar situation to help put my mind at rest :) on Monday I had to go to the DR as I was in so much pain I couldn't move. It turned out my coils was dislodged and the DR said out had been for some time as it was quite stuck where it was. The DR informed me that the merina would most likely still have worked as it's hormone based and as was still ( mostly) in womb I shouldn't be pregnant but give it two weeks and test just incase. As a typical female I couldn't wait so I went straight out and brought an early predictor test. It came bk with the faintest positive ( I had to hold it up to the window to see it) however I have done another one today and it's a stronger line however I have started to get period like pains only very mild and not continual I have a small amount a blood when I wipe too :( has anybody been in this position if so what happens now ?? Has anyone been in this position and gone on to have a healthy baby. ??

Never been in your situation but my cousin got pregnant on the coil. Baby was healthy (and huuuge at 10lbs 7oz) but she bled throughout pregnancy and this was her 5th and never bled with her 4 previous pregnancies. Hope that puts your mind at rest until you can see for sure.

She was offered an early pregnancy scan because of the bleeding when she was 6 or 7 weeks along so its something you could maybe ask for?

You need to see your GP today because of the risk of ectopic pregnancy.

Hope all is well.

Yep I have. Gp ASAP because of risk of ectopic. My mirena had fallen down but was still in my womb. They removed it straight away and everything went fine but the mc risk was very high. Sorry to sound so pessimistic but you really need to get checked.

Mine was copper not mirena but I was told I had a 50% chance of the pregnancy being ectopic so please get checked.
It's very uncommon I was the first they'd seen in a very long time and they've now found my coil on holiday in my abdomen outside of my womb. A mystery
