Background: Overweight by five stone was on cerezette but lost interest in sex and kept getting vaginal wall infections.

In and out of sexual health clinic for 18 months they have yet to cure the infections. Have had a week of metronidozole and was cured for two weeks before infection came back. Angry

Infection symptoms: soreness in as localised area, red, usually a after sex. Had full sexual health screen three times, drs have no clue. Envy Angry

As the cerezette made me feel "flat" and read on FPA website it can be a cause of infections, I took myself off it and have not replaced contraception with anything. Husband hates condoms and barrier methods. All other hormonal contraception has disagreed with me. (implant made me constantly bleed, microgynon not appropriate because of wt and circulatory health)

Sorry its taken so long but my point is this: How long can it take for normal periods to return after long term use of cerezette, and what other non-hormonasl and non-barrier methods are open to me?

I am trying to lose wt BTW!

Cerazette killed my sex drive and upset my anxiety. Can't remember how long until first period but I have had a copper coil fitted which is not hormonal
