Mirena coil

I'm do to have the mirena coil fitted soon and have heard you have to be bleeding when you have it fitted could anyone please confirm if this is true thanx you? X

it is apparently easier to fit the coil at the tail end of a period as the cervix is slightly open. It can be fitted at other times too as long as you are sure you are not pregnant. I was on cerazette mini pill and not having periods when mine was fitted so it isnt essential to be bleeding.
