Cerazette and hair loss

Has anyone experience of this?

I happened to look at the list of side affects yesterday and noticed it was on it - which might explain the handfuls of hair coming out each time I wash it.

I've got lots of relatively thick hair, so it's not making a huge difference at the moment but I'm sure it has to at some stage. And the hoover is getting totally clogged with all the hair.

Did anyone have this and it settled down after a while? At the moment I don't have much of an option for changing as I'm still breastfeeding, but before this started I would have been considering staying on it anyway.

Any advice or thoughts?

Not sure what cerezette is but as you are breast feeding are you sure its not just normal post baby hair loss? Most people lose lots of hair after pregnancy (as you don't have your usual daily loss during pregnancy)?

Iron usually helps if you are anaemic - often the case after a baby?

Hmmm.... it could be, I suppose, buy DD2 is 18 months old now. I would have thought that the post baby hair loss would have started sooner (I think it started around October/November, so she was over a year old at that stage).

Although, come to think of it, I'd been on Cerazette (it's a contraceptive pill by the way) for about a year at that stage too. So maybe it isn't connected.
