mirena coil

Hey ladies

I was wondering if you could help me with something. I had the mirena coil fitted on the 28th of June this year and since the day of fitting I have been bleeding (not heavy) is this normal?

I had mine fitted on tues a d they said as long as its not heavy painfull or smelly it will be fine xxxx do u feel lots of pressure down below ??? Xxxx

It's normal to have spotting or light bleeding for several weeks after having mirena fitted just keep an eye out for any pain, offensive smelling blood or discharge or any signs of feeling unwell such as a temp or fever if you have any of those go back to gp, my spotting took several weeks to settle.

hi everyone, this is my 1st time on mumsnet and i am looking for some advice please, i had my mirena coil removed 5 weeks ago and i wondered how long it usually is before your first period as i as led to believe it would be a few days but haven't had spotting or period yet pregnancy test has come back negative :( please if anyone has had similar experience all advice would be appreciated
