Been to the docs today, really wanted to have my implant out now but i have been made to have a discussion with the doctor first!
Anyway i told her i wanted to go back on the pill, but she wasnt to keen on me going on it as i have a bmi of 33 but has agreed to let me go on it after trying to persuade me to have tubes tied, coil, injection and all manner of scary stuff.
Im planning on having 2 more children and i would ideally like to start ttc next summer so the coil is a no no for me as is tube tying! I dont understand why having a bmi of 33 would be a problem, i know being this weight can bring on complications with it but i wasnt a lot smaller when i took the pill before but she made quite a big deal about it which has upset me so im starting a diet next week as now im scared of complications !
I have got to make yet another appointment just to get the blasted implant out-i hate it its given me headaches, complete loss of libido, increased appetite, pregnancy symptoms and mood swings in the 10 months ive been on it!
I was hoping they were going to take it out today!
Anyone else of a high bmi on the pill and what was you like on it?

weight and age are big risk factors for the combined pill. Netdoctor says this:

In May 2011, leading authority Anne Szarewski told a meeting of GPs that being overweight is 'the single most significant risk factor' for thrombosis on the Pill. She said that Pill-taking women whose body mass index (BMI) is 30 or more had almost 24 times the average risk of thrombosis.

Just tell the doc you want it out, it is your right, and say that you will use condoms.

Also, you can use the mini pill which has fewer complications. I have had many problems with various combined pills over the years, with Cilest being the worst. I finally tried Cerazette a few months ago and it was great. It completely irradicated my periods. Unlike other mini pills, it doesn't matter if you forget to take it for up to 12 hours. My only problem with it is my own scattiness. I have just switched to the Mirena coil because I don't want to get caught out, but I almost wish I hadn't changed because I was really happy on Cerazette.
