smear badly overdue, periods all over the place, what to do?

so, i'm due a smear, but have been trying to come off the POP which stopped my period entirely and have ended up with pain and spotting and random bleeding all over the place.
i've FINALLY just had what i think was my first 'real' period - right amount of blood, seems like right amount of time (if it stops tomorrow like it seems it will).

so.. should i risk booking a smear now for this month? i'm reluctant to get an unnecessary 'abnormal' reading due to bloodcells... anybody medical know what i should do? (also my docs and doc receptionists are super scary and i'll be in big trouble if i cancel)

Just explain that your periods are erratic when you book - you won't be the first. I had to do that recently.

Stuff the receptionists if they are rude, just book over the Smile

Yep, book it, then postpone if necessary. It's too important to keep putting it off.

Bollocks to the rude staff Smile.

Just book it. If it needs to be re-scheduled then so be it.

ok, will give it a shot... think days 10-17 next month will be 2nd to 19th december so i'll book it sometime then and just see what happens... i can only go into work late on mondays or tuesdays so my doctors hates me - it's an old fashioned practice geared up for 'sick' people who are not at work.
