Why are you worried? is there a backstory I don't know?

What's she competing at, by the way?

Well, if she's anything like my dd she will do much better with her dad - mine always gets far more nervous if I'm with her! Just think of the lovely time they'll have together, and the lovely peaceful time you'll have - and how brilliant it'll be when she comes home and tells you all about it!

But......he doesn't have to do her hair, does he?????????

Yep & make up hmm

But it's not too bad - he does her hair anyway wink

Wow - I'm impressed! My dp is brilliant - he can do anything - except hair. The thought of French plaits sends him into a flat spin!

Oh DH can't do french plaits

I am trying to get him to learn braiding - DD is mixed race

The oils/lotions we use on her hair give me a rash - as she has been poorly this last week or so I am covered in a rash all over my chin where she has leant against me to have a cuddle

I just had my first meal alone & I have no-one to clear up or finish up my leftovers

Surviving....actually almost enjoying myself

Should I have an afternoon nap? Or would that be self-indulgent as I didn't get up until 11?

DD is in the final for Cha-cha dancing with her dad

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
