Hi we are shortly moving up to that neck of the woods and I'm really struggling to find gymnastics classes. I've found Dronfield and Clay Cross but they tell me they have 2 year waiting lists...Queen's Park in Chesterfield isn;t quite so bad - 9 months. But I find it really hard to believe that all thoose kids in Fulwood, Dore, Hope Valley and Chesterfield don;t do gymnastics. The only source of info I seem to be able to find is the British Gymnastics Association and council websites. Surely there are some small clubs that are neither council nor BG somewhere round here? Thanks for any tips.

(apologies for repeating - have put this in local and in extra-curricular)

Sorry, don't know answer but you could try looking/ asking on Sheffield Forum website if MN doesn't help you out.

no idea re gym clubs sorry - assume you have tried Ponds Forge or Hillsborough (tho both council run?)

if you fancy a coffee/glass of wine when you move in let me know - sometime meet with Hula/Katz and others smile

thanks - I think I found myself on Sheffield Forum earlier today. Panda - I think you;re right that there are some that way but as we're going to be in the Hope Valley that would be a 40-50-odd minute drive = best part of 3 hours for one class...

thanks for the coffee offer - I may well seek you out! where do you meet? I have a feeling Hula isn;t far from where I'll be.

Hope Valley to centre of town would be a long trek...

we have met for coffee/lunch in Broomhill, is fairly central for us. Katz lives near me, and Hula about a 15 min drive. We have had a drink in the city centre (after Spa meets) and in our local. We have been talking about an evening drink for a while, but not go around to organising it.

Have done daytime picnics in the school hols too, we are a friendly bunch!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
