Hi,

I organise a Youth Theatre course in west Kent. Every year we produce a unique musical based on a classic text (this year is Shakespeare's As You Like It). A lot of the course is in small workshops with high quality professionals and it is an excellent opportunity for children to develop their confidence, projection, musical and dancing talents or their understanding of Shakespeare. Parents are always amazed by the progress their children make during the two weeks and we have had several participants who are now professionals themselves.

We have just had some last minute drop-outs (the course starts on Monday), leaving us a little short for the show. Under the circumstances, we are prepared to offer a significant discount to fill our last few spaces, and as the students who dropped out were boys, we are prepared to completely waive the fee for any boys who would like to take part.

Participants should be between 10 and 20 years old.

Please ask me if you'd like more details and I'll send you a private message.

Have you tried posting on MN local too?

Hi Jilted,
Yes I did, but I have to admit I've never spotted that bit before, so did this first. However, looking at the dates of other posts, I'm not sure the Kent local bit gets much action!

If anyone is interested, we're prepared to take a boy that can't manage all of this week, providing he is available Mon-Sat next week (18th-23rd)

Might also be worth putting this on the Education or Secondary Education thread. Sounds a great opportunity.
