Some ukele advice please

DS2 wants to learn the guitar. The music teacher at school said he should wait until at least Jan and that the guitar teacher prefers them to be year 2. He did however suggest a ukele and letting him strum etc and we also have the possibility of getting some group ukele sessions to see how he would go.

I am assuming an Argos ukele might be on for strumming but probably not an actual class. Any pointers as to somewhere I could get one that will be if decent quality but not too expensive?

He's Yr1, its the ukulele, whilst an £80 one would be nicer, I think that a £20 would do for the moment.

They aren't that expensive anyway (not compared with other musical instruments, that is) and they're good fun! We have one from a music shop that cost the same as an Argos one - but at least you can ask in the shop if it can be tuned etc.

By the way, it's spelt ukulele or sometimes ukelele -- really not nitpicking, just thought it might make it easier to google for one!

Here's a proper music shop selling them: Hobgoblin

Thank you... I knew it was wrong when I wrote it but was being incredibly lazy Blush. Thanks for the links, will have a look.

Just today noticed that DS's intended primary runs a Ukulele club!
