Dd1 is doing gcse music and over the holidays has to learn a piece to play to the class. However her vlass is full of people who are up to grade 6! Shes only grade 1 keyboard. So are there any easy pieces she can learn in 5 weeks that will still be impressive although they are easy?

Flamenco, by William Gillock published in a book called, 'Hello, Czerny meets Gillock' (pub by Breitkopf)

Also his Sarabande, which is in the same collection

Burgmuller's 'Arabesque' in A minor is easier than the above two, or his 'Ballade'; both are in a collection of Burgmuller piano pieces. I think the publisher is ABRSM.

There's a nice collection of jazzy pieces by Pam Wedgewood called, 'Very Easy Jazzin About'

Have a look through these,

making music fun

There are lots of well known pieces, and they're not too difficult.

Handel's Water Music on that list is nice. :)
