Japanese music for violin?

My dd is a little Japan freak. Wondering if anyone can recommend Japanese music (folk, classical, anything really) she could play on the violin. She played Fuji San and Sakura and then some theme music from Detective Conan animes. I don't know much about Japanese music. It doesn't have to be high brow but should sound Japanese. She is not really interested in rock/pop but she likes a lot of film music. Can anyone think of anything?

I have some music I can lend you. But I am a bit short of time till my DDs finish their music exams in 2 weeks. These are VERY traditional Japanese, ie nothing current/pop etc. They include Furusato (home village), Akatombo (red dragonfly), Hana (flowers). I would call this particular collection quite high brow. Why don't you also try looking up some music from Hayao Miyazaki's films, such as Totoro and Castle in the Sky? Some lovely music in them and they sound quite Japanese.

Those traditional pieces are bound to be lovely, thank you so much kanita.

I will see if we can find some of the soundtracks to Hayao Miyazaki's films. Thanks very much for the suggestion.

I dug some music out today. These are something I inherited from our string teacher's friend BTW. Will be able to send them to you sometime in the next 10 days. How does one go about getting your detail?
