I am posting to tell you about a new and exciting collaboration between Challenging Leaders and The SKILL Consortium. I am hoping that those of you who have children, or contact with them, or organisations who do, will be willing to give support here.

?Future Leaders? is to be a member of the successful Leaders Group of companies family, which has a proven track record with Born, Advancing and Challenging Leaders. The groups are designed to be objective, impartial, confidential and diverse.

?Future Leaders? is a peer group opportunity. By bringing together groups of targeted young people from different schools these groups are designed to develop valuable skills which will develop the young people involved and expose them to skills not only relevant to their education but to the skills agenda, developing real life skills that will enable them to be more confident and employment ready. The kind of skill development you can expect your young people to be exposed to are questioning skills, analytical skills, empathy - engagement not only in their own challenges but those of others, communication skills and many more. You will recognise from this short list that the types of skills that are involved here are skills that employers seek and therefore have a vast value added to young participants.

We are running a taster session from 10-12.30 on the morning of Saturday 27th April, in Huddersfield town centre. This session will consist of 10-12 year 10 students with as much gender and ethnic mix as possible and no more than two students from any one school. We would be delighted to hear from you with nominations of young people who might benefit from this kind of intervention.

If you would like to discuss this further or you would like any further information about this project please do get in touch with: Anthony Brook, CEO of Challenging Leaders, [email protected] find out more at www.challengingleaders.co.uk or contact me on the details below.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity so please do book early to avoid disappointment. If the taster date does not suit but you are interested do let us know as there will be further opportunities to get your young people involved.

If you would like more information about how you can benefit from this type of intervention please let us know so that we might help. There are lots of opportunities for support and engagement for adults too!

Very best wishes
Amanda
