Not exactly sure what it is; but it's nearly finished & all gets handed in on Monday

She is not always committed to finishing things so it's especially good

Not heard of that - what does it entail? [curosity]

But good on her for sticking it out, and getting an achievement.

Keep eye on the ball and she'll achieve it Grin

I got kicked out of art in year 9 for being so bad I offended the teacher by being in the room!!!

So jealous of anyone who has artistic talent

Ah now seen link not art as in painting Blush

But a fantastic variety of activities. Looks like a creative take on DofE.

Good on her.

Pretty much me too

DD is fairly bad at Art; however she is a fabulous dancer

Currently I have 'issues' being unable to tell how good she is because I have little ability to view it other than as her 'Mum' iyswim

I know exactly what you mean, I find the same with my own dd over gymnastics.

It's hard isn't it

She won the (adult) talent show last week (with her dad) at the holiday park; was that because she is cute or because they were good?

How old is she?

How old does she look?

See I know my dd wins on cuteness because she looks 8/10 where as she's 15. And people say things like oh she's so mature. No she's not you think she's 5/7 years younger than she is.

I always think that my dd could be an actress on Disney where they are 20 year olds playing 12/13 year olds.

She is 13 & I think she looks 13; but I could be wrong

There are photos on my profile (I think)

I would say she looks 13. She is very very pretty. I know nothing about dancing, but in those photos she holds herself well, and shows confidence. And I have found confidence in yourself, makes you better. So in my not so humble opinion Grin and non-dancing knowledge Wink, I'd bet that she gets 80% of marks for talent, 10% for being younger and cute, and 10% for confidence.

Long may she keep it up - as she gets into older teens much better to have something like dance occuping her time.

At ds1's school they all do the bronze arts award in yr9.
I'm not that impressed with it tbh: it's just a folder with a few pieces of work in, some photos and records of what he's done in dance and drama.
But it may be that he's just not taken it very seriously: I think it's one of those "very hard to fail" qualifications.

Thanks; you see DD is in year 8, and I am keen to encourage 'academia' as she is so musically orientated. Plus her dad left school with nothing so emphasising 'qualifications' is so important!!!

Daft aren't I?
