We have been with Kumon for a while now for the math only. It has served us very well. But, the woman runs the center, who is fab, is leaving. Sad And I am wondering if this might be the time for us to move on as well. DD (year 3) does well in math, but Enlish is becoming a bit of an issue. So, I'm considering moving to place that gives tuition in math and English.

DS (year 1) would have to follow. So, I'm interested in opinions for both ages.

DD strengths lie in math. And DS' strengths appear to lie in his unstoppable love of books.

I have heard not so favourable reviews of Explore Learning. So, am now wondering about Kip McGrath.

We are in West London (Twickenham/Whitton).

Hi there

My son has done so well at Kip McGrath that he recently passed all his entrance exams to senior school (private hard exams). The teachers -with experience of the classroom- really understand my issues and more importantly they show a keen interest in my son's needs. I have reffered a couple of the parents from school they are also really pleased.

Best of Luck A

Kip Served my DD well for 11+ and entrance to private school exams. She passed both and is now at Grammar school.

My nephew who struggles at school has come on a storm with his local kip centre and I know lots of other people who are very happy with a variety of centres round here.

Kip really helped for us in year 3. They brought him up to the point they said to carry on would mean he was ahead of his class. What I mean is they didn't keep taking the money unnecessarily. We aren't local to your area, and I suppose it depends on the individual tutors, but I would have no problems recommending kips, and have done to friends in RL.

We use Whizz.com for maths and this has been invaluable for teaching strategies and concepts, as well as covering all the topics inthe curriculum.

Kids have been able to learn at their own pace at home, revise topics and practice when it suits them.

And it has helped tremendously with their confidence, self motivation, enthusiasm and good grades at school
