Running with a cold - ok or a really daft idea?

I've just finished week 3 of couch25k and was going well until yesterday when I developed a cold.

Runny nose, aches, feeling cold. Yesterday was the worst, today I feel marginally better. I'm really keen to keep up the impetus with this running lark. If I don't go out tomorrow I won't get out until Friday - 6 days after I last ran.

As I don't have a temperature, would it be ok to go out tomorrow?

General rule is if the symptoms are all above the neck, you're good to run, if below the neck, rest up.

Let's see what tomorrow brings then!

Thanks.

If I feel too ill to exercise I don't exercise, because I know it will compromise the ability of my immune system to deal with the infection.

I'll be ill for longer and have to take even more time out of my schedule.
