Trouble downloading C25K app

I've got myself all revved up to do this but can't download the app!

I've tried putting it on my Android phone, and I can see it there listed in 'Downloads' but it says 'Can't open file' when I click on it. Do I need a podcast player (which one?) or have I done something wrong?

I've also tried to put it on my iPod Touch, but the icon doesn't appear on the screen after I've (possibly) downloaded it from iTunes.

Any ideas, anyone? I only hope I turn out to be better at running than I am with technology!
