This isn't a new story, but it always shocks me when i think about it - there is an island of plastic in the Pacific Ocean. How long can we carry on doing this?
I'm not completely ignorant on these issues....but I must admit I didn't know about this. It's really bad, isn't it ....it will be one of those things that will bite us in the butt big time in the future.....sigh
maybe plastic should be disllowed completely...or is the government winning by allowing it....which would mean it would always be allowed, sigh...why do they get it so wrong....doing the right thing should be cheap,, doing the wrong thing should be unaffordably expensive
well, only because the consumer can et it cheap them...ethical choices should be cheap and tat expensive, and soon everyone wowuld think that ethical pays....money is what people are interested in getting or if a customer the less the best!
I was in Turkey/Greece on holiday recently - those countries don't seem to have a ban on plastic bags as we're used to now in the UK and Ireland. it will get alot worse, we all know about it but countries like china are only interested in being capitalist, ethics don't come into it. though have they ever
