Dunno really!

We've got a mixture of storage heaters and log burner.

I suppose there's something UN-eco friendly about them. We get the wood for free, and the storage heaters are on economy 7, so it's not TOO expensive, but I don't know about eco friendly. hmm

Heating one room only is probably better economy-wise tbh.
So gas fire or halogen heater for 1 room.

Is it a "proper" gas fire though? Ours is more decorative iykwim and apparently a lot of heat goes up the chimney but it looks v pretty.

yeh ours is just one out of argos it seems a waste to heat 8 radiotrs if we could use halogen heater or summit and if it was cheaper it would be a bonus aswell

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
