Can any of you ladies give me a tip on how to cut out use of aluminium foil when cooking? I tend to use it mainly when I bake fish in the oven and want to keep it nice and moist. I know that aluminium production is not exactly environmentally friendly and I just hate the use-once-throw-aawy thing so do you have any tips? TIA.

also reduced mine by using little plastic pots for sandwiches instead of foil but you may well do that or not have to do lunches.

You can cook fish in paper - but of course you still throw it away. Instead of lining baking trays etc. I use a silicon mat, which saves the foil or paper and is much less work.

Oooh!! Silicon mats.... sounds interesting. Have some silicon cake forms and they are great.

Will try pyrex with a lid too.

Thanks for the tips.grin

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
