ok, well i came across some porn that i didnt know existed on our home PC.

i thought i would see if this is an isolated thing or if our men are actually deviants

press your windows key on your keyboard if you're on your home pc and click 'search'

then type in either .mpeg or .wmv or .flv

these are video files and if theres some stashed on your PC, you'll find them

disgusted with what i've found on our home computer. anal and everything :(

I wouldnt call them 'deviants' if they have downloaded legal porn.

So where does that leave you op?

My ex H had files. Didn't really hide them though....as the dc got older I could see it becoming a problem

I wonder why they hide them? Is it their favourite movie perhaps?

Yes but so do I. Completely normal and natural. Saying that we are honest with each other and watch together at times.

Imho I think he is hiding it because of how you reacted. Porn is normal it's not disgusting or anything to be ashamed off.

I typed that in and music downloads came up (legal) no porn although I don't have a man to use my computer so not sure why I typed it anyway.

I don't think porn is normal - whatever gives you that idea...because you watch it ?

I agree OP that it's disgusting. No porn here...

Yes what is illegal porn? Apart from the obviously disgusting paedophilia.

Personally I think porn is terrible, exploitative, and degrading.

I suppose what is "normal" for some people really translates into "what they are prepared to tolerate"

Would I tolerate porn files on my family pc ?

No

I would also wonder why, with so much streamed free porn available, he (or she) felt the need to "save" particular pieces of action (hence raising the risk of dc opening it)

Porn isn't normal in our house; though we recognise it's normal and natural to feel aroused watching people have sex/ erotica, we don't think the existing 'porn industry' is anything we want to support because it is largely a product peddling fantasy harm against fantasy women, and the fantasy is a damaging one for real women; and it is also a product produced by inflicting actual harm against actual women, and is so clearly ideologically inscribed with patriarchal and capitalist values that it's hard to see it as anything other than a tool for the degradation of women in particular and human value in general. We are.aware of "women-centred" porn and have discussed/ tentatively explored it but find the dominant culture too pervasive to be able to distinguish it from all the vile, women-hating, objectifying, rape-the-slut, hurt-her-she-wants-it stuff it was impossible to watch it happily. And we've never seen a porn scene.in which we were convinced of the woman's orgasm...

Not all men use porn, OP. Check out the good men project (Google); you'll read lots of articles written by red-blooded men who wouldn't use it (or more often, have stopped) because they recognise the use of.it as antithetical to their respect for the women in their own lives.

I agree with AnyF - regardless of what anyone thinks about porn, tell him not to save it where small people may find it. It's easy enough to stream.
