I split up with my H late last year, he moved out and then made it clear that he was no longer willing to collect dd from the CM as he doesn't drive plus added complication of company making his shift end later.

My CM was not able to meet me at my ds's school a bit later on as back problems made it too much to struggle up hill with my dd as additional weight-which I could sympathise with.

Nobody else available to help out and I felt only option I had was to leave my job-which I loved, but as it was in a school felt bad messing everyone around, also getting down with it all, selling house etc.

Sorry am waffling!

What I need help with is, how do I word it where I put reason for leaving job?I am applying for school jobs again now the dust is starting to settle and I don't want to put off anyone-I know several CMs and am after less hours which I can do as a lone parent-16hrs min.

Why not jsut be honest? Tell your work your personal circumstances have changed and you are now in sole charge of taking / collecting your child from school, the childminder arrangements cannot accomodate collection fromm school and your current circumstances mean your child cannot get to or from school? You never know: they might help you out? Being honest is best you can do: good luck!

On an application form? Put family commitments.

If asked in interview say personal circumstances changed and unfortunately this meant you had to give up work for a while as the changes meant your childcare was no longer an option, however this is now resolved and you are looking forward to working again.

Thank you for advice-like I said, I loved my job-first one I didn't dread going to, and really hope to get same sort of thing again.

Is also tricky that I need to be able to take/collect ds from school as he has asd and won't go with someone else.

Fingers crossed, if I keep trying I'll get somewhere- eventually!
