help me tell my boss I'm leaving - I'm scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so, so childish. I really hate scenes or confrontation or anything like that.

I've found a better-paid job and I need to hand in my notice. I'm the only one in my branch office doing the job I do (part of the reason I want to leave)and it wil, I guess, leave the boss in the crap a bit whilst he gets a replacement. On the other hand, it's a three-month notice period...

So why I am scared to pick the phone up and tell him? Help/advice/experiences please???

Ive left loads of jobs, and never had an employer sobbing down my neck yet
No-one's irreplaceable, as you can remind him. And you are going to get to say "BECAUSE THEY ARE PAYING MORE" when he asks why you are leaving.
