What to do after redundancy

Am being made redundant after being a teacher for 10 years. And I just don't know what to do now.

Was planning baby no2 in next 12 months and just feel that has to go on the back burner for now. Obviously if I find another teaching job I can still get my full entitlment to maternity pay, etc. But the redundancy has relly zapped my self confidence even though it was down to numbers and finances, still feel pretty useless.

HAve been kind of offered an opportunity at a nursery from september, but would feel like I had let owner down if did become pg. Am still waiting to hear from hr department rregarding redundancy. But just don't know where to begin

If you enjoy teaching, then may be worth signing up with a teaching supply agency for a while, so you get some income while you think about what you want to do more long term.

I used to work for a children's toy firm, was there for 6 years. Was made redundant. Went into supply nursery work as I am NNEB qualified have the experience and CRB etc. Did that for about 4 months before deciding to do nannying (prefer nannying to working in nurseries). I'm still nannying now... my mother says I should get a 'real' job!
