I am soooooooooooooooooo nervous

I have just signed up to do a correspondance course to do a Beauty Specialist course and I'm sooooooo nervous, my first course is due to arrive any day.

The course covers this:
Bones of the Skull

Clinic Hygiene

Skin Disorders

Eyebrow Shaping

Contra-Indications

Cosmetic Chemistry

Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising

Skin Types

Face Masks

Consultation

Facial Treatments

Exfoliation

Facial Muscles

Sterilization

Skin Analysis

Facial Massage

Nerves & Blood Supply to the Skin

I then have to a practical day and if I pass I will have the letters bsy(B.) after my name.

I am really nervous as I haven't done any studying for so long, but these areas of health and beauty have always intrigued me, I know the basics of some of them listed.

Thing is, I have had to hide the price from dh and also not told him what it entails as, for some reason he is not very supportive with anything like this, he might think that I am taking on too much at the minute.

Am I doing the right thing studying this? Or am I daft wasting my money, i don't know if I could take it further as who would want a fat 30 something mother of two doing a facial lol.

the letters i will be entitled to use are BSY(B.sb) not the ones said earlier.

if it's something you're interested in, then you will enjoy the challenge .

I have all the motivation that I need and will be like a dog sitting at the letterbox for the next few days, I just prefer 'doing something' than watching tele, I just hope that when dh realises the work it entails that he won't P* on my bonfire.

I hope he doesn't too MrsBubs - make sure he knows how important it is to you.

Thanks, looking forward to the practical, because wherever it is, it is AT LEAST one night stay from home, no kids

I think it is great, you should go for it! I have done study since I have had my kids, and though challenging, it has been a great thing. I really enjoy having something other than the kids to think about, I am sure you will too! Also, as you say, a little ´break´ from them is good for you and good for them.
Who would want a facial from a "fat 30 something mother of two" - I would if she was good! The few that I have had, it matters much more to me if she knows her job than how conventionally pretty she is.
Best of luck, I am sure you will do well.
