Oh I'm a proud mummy today.

Little Miss Milliways has come TOP OF YEAR in maths , level 8 with 129/150.

She also got a level 7 in science (119/150) which is her WORST subject.

How should I treat her?(we are broke BTW)

Thats great. My DD1has just finished her A levels
so we took her to pizza hut for lunch ( her choice) to reward her hard work, she has been revising like mad ( she will get something bigger when she has her results). Would she like to do something similar? We have also taken our girls out and bought them something of their choice or given tham £10.
We bought DD1 a guitar for her GCSES as she got 4A's and 6 B's.

Thanks - a meal out would be nice.

Good luck for the A level results.

Well done to Little Miss Milliways - those are fantastic results.

We took DS1 out to a local Italian restaurant last night (without his siblings) - it was his choice - for doing well in his Common Entrance. We let him order whatever he liked and, although it ended up fairly costly, it was lovely to see him ordering real food.

The level 7 in science is wonderful! (so is the 8 in maths but I'm a science teacher!)

Where do you live? Close enough to visit the science museums in London? They are free and such fun!

My second set kids all did well. Three got 7s and all buy 7 of the rest got sixes....I was well chuffed.

In my 'bottom set' class 4 got 5s which is amazing as many of them can hardly read and write. I was very poud of them all.

You should be very proud of your dd.....kids with 7s usualy go on to get A*s

Thanks - we live in Reading so the museums are well frequented by us. She is sooo pleased because finds Maths hard but revised for ages.

Your class did well. Apparently, her school had less level 7 sciences than usual but more Maths level 8 (22 of them managed it!)

Good idea - she is a bookworm. Don't know hich one though - she's gone off Harry Potter so DS wants THAT one for his birthday.

Maybe even a new music book as she likes playing about on her keyboard.
