special needs provision around cambridge

We are worried about moving from Guildford to Cambridge for my husband's work because we have two aspbergers boys getting good support in Surrey. I have heard the provision in Cambridgeshire is poor but I would like to know if it is just as bad in the surrounding counties, please could someone let me know how it is up there? It's rather scary.

I live to the west of the county. My experience of SEN provision hasn't been great. I felt like I was fighting for support all the way through my sons educations.

However, I have also spoken to parents who have found their child's provision good. Generally those with a statement.

Sorry probably not what you wanted to hear and not much help.

The problem with Cambridge is that they employ outside solicitors to fight to the death if you have to go to the tribunal.

The plural of anecdote is not data. That said, My old housemate from uni lives in Cambridge and one of her DC is autistic. She and her civil partner had to fight like grim death to get him the support he was legally entitled to. Forewarned is forearmed, I suppose. Good luck.
