The best 11 + tutors/centres in Bucks

Am feeling a bit nervous asking this but I would be really, really grateful if someone could give me the names of the best 11 + tutors in Bucks and/or those with the best results. I have been lucky enough to have been given some money with the intention of the giver that I use it for the education of my DC. I don't know anyone who has used one so would not know where to get a recommendation from - there are lots online but I have no way of knowing if they are good or not. I read here that the system is changing so that the exam will be tutor proof but it seems that a lot of people think it may still be worth having one and I think it is worth trying. I also read that the best ones are booked up a long time in advance but I think I still have time - will put the money into a savings account for now. Please could someone take pity on me and either post or PM me some recommendations. Thanks very much indeed ladies and gents.

There's an 11+ forum for parents - might be worth posting on your local board?

Try AE Tuition in Slough. They are brilliant for preparing for grammar schools. sadly, they do not prepare in English and their independent course was a dissapointment. I would recommend the one year 11+ course, which prepares for Maths, VR
and NVR the teachers are exellent.
good luck!

Where in Bucks? It's a big county. I've heard less than good things about AE Tuition (factory), but it worked for friend's children. My son used to be taught by the person who runs Twist in the Tale in Amersham, and I've got a lot of time for her. I used to work with this person www.beckypengilly.co.uk/home.html and have a lot of time for her too. But as I say, it depends wherein Bucks you are. And your child - what suits one may not suit another.

Hi Akiko and toomuch. Really, really kind of you both! Am so grateful. Near Marlow but not so worried about distance to get the right person.

Try Marlow Parents Yahoo Group. I'd be careful though as the format is changing so no one currently tutoring will have experience of the new exam.

Try headstart 11+ tuition in Aylesbury. They are a small company, but absolutely brilliant. The main tutor is very friendly and very knowledgeable. He helped my daughter pass her 11+. I was very impressed. I search a lot of tutors first, but I was so happy with my choice.
