AIBU? HMI and day one of phased return

Due to do my first day of phased return after long term mental health absence. Phone call whilst at a course with supply teacher currently covering my class and with whom I was meant to spend part if first day back team teaching with, asking for supply to talk with head. At breaktime on the course, am informed by supply that HMI are in school on my first day of phased return and that I am expected to go ahead with team teaching and on own in afternoon. This is without me having any time consultation with supply prior to today and no knowledge or experience of many new strategies put into place since my sick leave. Also feel annoyed this was all passed on to me second hand via the supply (who incidentally lovely) and that head has not seen fit to even speak to me about it (many other bullying issues in the past as she is new to the post and has already caused the resignation of 6 members of staff since her arrival 11 months ago)! I've just begun to build up my confidence but feel I am being set up to fail?! Opinions?

If you feel it's appropriate, get signed off again for another week - it sounds like you don't need the extra hassle and it's already causing you worry. I wonder what your union rep would say about you not being informed of the inspection in person?

Union rep brilliant and has contacted head but she has not responded! Thank you for the response; I completed my NPQH recently and as a future head teacher would never treat any member of staff like this on return to work. However, the head in question seems to think that the only way to succeed in her own first headship is to make others look bad to cover up her own inadequacies?!
