and despite me feeling nervous and a few tears in the morning, she loved it. she has made 2 new friends (but she cant remember their names) and everyone has amde us both feel very welcome. the mums are verydown to earth and friendly. her teacher is lovely, and she is now back to ORT books and not GINN/Spirals.

i was really worried, because of everyhting going on in her life i thought it may be the wrong time. but we have been waiting for a place at this school for a year, and the whole time since peter got really ill i have ummed and erred over what i;d do if a space came up for her to go there. MIL says (not to my face but to peter) that i only moved her for my own benefit, and wasnt thinking about dd1. but dd1 hasnt been wanting to go to old school lately, i know someone was picking on one of her friends there and think it affected dd1 as well.

i know its early days, but am pleased her 1st day went well.

I'm glad she is happy. Both my boys moved schools last year during the school year (at different times!), and although it seems a bit daunting they soon settle.
