I state on all of my listings I post within 5 working days of cleared payment.

had an item paid for last weds (late on) was sent today 1st class, asking i'd posted it, advised was today,

had an item paid for late on on thurs again today asked when it was sent (that's courrier so is going tomorrow)

when I say 5 working days - I mean starting the day after if they paid after 5pm when the post office closes.

so am I slow or what? (prob am a little - but I certainly as an ebayer don't chase an item until about 10 days after I paid - not within a week if i've not received it) the fact DS/I have both been ill doesn't help.

By Ebay rules you have 7 days to post your item.

Personally I try & get items out the day after I recieve payment (I used to post the same day but then they shut our post office down )

but the 5 days are not up yet - if the buyers had said they needed them ASAP I would have posted the next day. (had intended to post out on fri for the post office bits but as I say DS was poorly)

I'd get impatient if not with me in 5 working days. Even if it stated it I'd just think that was there to cover them and expect it sooner. Sorry!

Did you contact your buyers to let them know?

I always contact my buyers as soon as I recieve payment to say thanks for payment & when I'll be posting the item out to them, then I email again the day I post it to let them know it's been sent.

If I get held up I drop them an email to explain that it's going to be delayed & when I intend to post - just find keeping buyers in the loop is enough to ensure happy buyers

I think it's slow, but if you make it clear then the buyer knows what to expect.

Almost everything I have bought recently has arrived within 2-3 days.
I think what you are doing does sound a bit on the slow side, but not unreasonable, especially if you make it clear in your description.

I say very clearly on any listing that I post within 4 working days of cleared payment and tbh nearly all buyers seem happy with this.

I get the odd email to check when something was posted but rarely complaints. I get lots of positive feedback about my quick dispatch times.

I also state on my listing description that I will happily post things sooner than 4 working days, as long as the buyer sends me a separate email to request this ie the onus is on the buyer to flag up is they need a quicker postage time.

i'm not so good at remembering to send the emails when posted tbh, I do clearly state however all items are posted first class and within 5 days (and I always post first class regardless of if it's more money that i've charged or not)

hmm, most of my things are bundles of clothes - maybe I should list it, wash it and take pics all at the same time then? so ready for when it finishes?

I'd say have it all ready to post as soon as it's won and paid for tbh.
If you are anything like me it will only play on your mind until its posted.

btw - DavidTennant is still mine
