Am I the only one who thinks Parcel2go are a completely and utterly incompetent bunch of timewasters?

They're supposed to give you a 5% discount if you enter their logo into your ebay listing. So I did. I then tried to use the discount, and that's when the problems started.

Firstly they didn't bother emailing me the discount codes, and then when I tried to enter my info (listing nos) again they said my listing nos had already been allocated a code. Right, so where was the code??

I then emailed their customer services team to complain, and asked them to send the code. I wrote to two people, one replied (without the code - d'oh!) and the other didn't bother.

I then sent another email complaining about the above. They eventually sent me an apologetic email (this is now day 4, by now my parcels should have been delivered). They gave me a permanent 5% discount code and told me to log in to my account (which they'd set up) in order to use it. Did they bother sending me my password? Of course not. Fine, so I got hold of the password myself, entered all the details correctly, but - the code wouldn't work.

I then spent 20 mins on the phone to a nice but completely hopeless assistant who claimed that my details weren't on their system. Even though I repeatedly explained that I was looking at my details on their system as we spoke, and that it was her colleague who had set up the account, she couldn't offer any solutions. I then gave up, told them I couldn't trust them to deliver my parcels, and decided to use the super-expensive Parcelforce instead.

I had sold 2 buggies on ebay and charged my buyers £10 delivery costs per buggy (£7 quoted cost from Parcel2go). As my buyers have been inconvenienced, I have absorbed the extra £26 in delivery costs myself, plus thrown in a couple of small gifts. Not only have I wasted hours of my time, but I've also ended up paying a total of £40 for Parcelforce to deliver, rather than the promised £14 from Parcel2go. How on earth do these muppets run a business?

I have used them and had no problems. But yours sounds like a nightmare. God I do hate incompetent people who say, I can't find you, when you have the details infront of you, for example.
But......
I am surprised you left it so long before finding an alternative.
And there are other cheaper couriers on ebay, yes most not as cheap as p2go, admittedly, but many alot less expensive than parcelforce.
I would have given it a day, then booked another.

Wish I hadn't waited, Oblomov! It's my first jaunt as a seller and so am feeling my way round - and have learned the hard way ! Apart from P2go, who else would you recommend, then?

Should never have de-reg-ed the post office
Experience with most delivery services is shite

Payperdrop is another, I think, struggling to remember.
I have been a seller for years, but only needed to use a courier 3 or 4 times.
There are plenty of threads on Mn about this, but often, the courier disappears/goes bust, so a thread from 9 months ago might not be any use.

Well thanks for trying, anyway!

Mazzy - couldn't agree more.

PayPerDrop used to be fab when they used DHL but then they almost doubled their prices & started using their own couriers & it's just gone to pot.

I've never used Parcel2Go because I heard a few bad things & also I prefer to send things on next day delivery & the price they quoted for next day was more expensive then the one I use.

I use MHDirect Couriers & never have any probs - they use DHL & it costs me about £8 for a next day delivery.

Another good one is Savethetrees - about £7.49 I think!

I do Interparcel and find them very very reliable. They do 5% discount but not on the DHL Express deliveries. They're cheap enough anyway!
