Would you bother listing an otherwise lovely dress with a tiny hole in it?

I get the impression some people are put off bidding for things with even the tiniest defect. So the selling price, if it sells at all, would be hardly worth the effort. Is this the case? I haven't sold much before (can you tell?!)

It's a really pretty dress by a well known brand and normally it should fetch a good price, but I have just noticed a really tiny hole (only visible when held up to the light - I didn't even see it when ironing it).

Would you?

If I thought it was going to fetch a few bids based on the brand or overall look of the dress then yes I probably would.

I have sold childrens clothes with tiny holes in before. Just make sure you mention about the hole in the listing so that bidders are aware. Also, try to take a close-up picture of it if you can. I would say something like 'tiny hole on the X of the dress although not noticeable at all when on and doesn't spoil the overall look'

I sold one of DH's shirts with a small hole in the back where security tag was on e-bay. put in capitals that there was a small hole in the back but only seen up close, It went for a about £5 in the end.

It does actually look like a security tag hole Wurzel, now that you mention it - tiny and perfectly round. Can't someone design tags that don't make holes?!

I have just done another search and seen a similar dress (same brand) listed as having a tiny stain that still went for a reasonable price so I think L'll list it anyway - using your text Tequila, thanks, and see how it goes
