So briefly, I won some playmobil items from someone who lives about 3 miles from me and he agreed that it would be fine to collect and pay on collection. He sent and e-mail saying this and that could it be after the BH (5th May) as he was busy until then. I responded saying yes that was fine.

Since then I have sent numerous e-mails asking when would be convenient to collect and pay and he hasn't replied to any of them. I requested his telephone number last week, but the 2 times I have called there has been no answer.

He sells quite a lot and has had feedback as recently as today. So I have just sent this message....

'Hello,

I have sent numerous e-mails asking when would be convenient to collect the playmobil items I won on 3rd of May, but you haven't responded. It has now been 3 weeks since I won them and apart from the one e-mail you sent saying it would have to be collected after the Bank Holiday, I have not heard anything since. I have telephoned twice without any response. Please could you let me know when I could collect and pay for these items, or if indeed I can. I will give it a few more days and then I will be forced to report and leave negative feedback'

Is this e-mail ok, do you think? TBH I am getting a bit cheesed off about it. I can only assume that he wanted to make mony on the postage as it was quite high.

Technically you are never suposed to refer to feedback in communiciations (except maybe to remind someone to leave fb). It sounds like a threat, and that's not the purpose of fb.

I would have said something about opening a formal dispute if he doesn't reply soon, instead. But all that said, I don't think it was a huge mistake to mention fb, coz obviously it may be the only redress/motivator you have.

sorry for typos, bouncy baby on lap!

I have been very polite in my previous e-mails (they are all through the e-bay wotsit (I am pretty new to e-bay though) and he has just ignored them. He has a couple of negatives due to non-communication. It's just really annoying as he seems to think it is not important. Maybe it is because I would only be paying him £3...I dunno!

BTW I'm not threatening

Maybe he is away somewhere? He did request you collect after the BH didn't he?

I wouldn't do anything regarding feedback tbh. Just open a dispute with Ebay, they will follow it up for you. Doesn't sound like you will actually get the playmobil stuff though

Ok, thanks everyone. I will leave it for a few days and see if he gets back to me. If not, I'll open up a dispute.

I don't think I'll get the Playmobil either.

He is definately not away as he has obviously sent things out to people after 3rd May. Just another hassle I could do without tbh.

And yes, it was the 1st bank holiday I meant.
