Why would a buyers feedback be "Private"?

Someone has successfully bid on an item I am selling but their feedback is private so can't view it?

Why would this be?

A variety of reasons. Is their overall % good or bad? They might want to hide a particular comment. They might buy some interesting things. They might not want other people (DH etc) to see a present they've bought...

If you link to your auction, I can probably work out which it is.

she might be buying maternity clothes but has not told friends and family yet and they might know about her e-bay account. i am doing the same thing at the moment and am considering making mine private so my nosey MIL cant see.

Type goofbay into google, go to ebay tools and then put her id into bidder history. You can see exactly what she has been buying.

i have done this as a nosey "friend" had been looking at what i was buying and telling other people.

only games, books etc so nothing exciting but it has feck all to do with her so made it private.

I can't believe people can be so interested ... why would you spend the time researching what someone you know has been buying ? madness !

Good point about the fact it's maternity clothes.

Am worried now as she won the items wednesday and I haven't heard anything or had payment yet.

try sending her an invoice, she might have put a bid in an not realised she won them. be gentle at first as she might have lost the pregnancy.
was it paypal only?

I sent an invoice the other day, I was going to give her 7 days and then send a polite message (the thought of miscarriage had crossed my mind too)

It is paypal only

its a hard one isnt it? if i had miscarried i would still buy what i had agreed to and would put them to the side for later. she might not be able to face going on the computer though.
on the other hand she might be just pulling a fast one and has changed her mind.
was it for alot of money?
if its paypal only she should really have paid immediately.
i usually state payment within 24hrs, then i give them a few days and relist and issue non-paying bidder strike. i have only had to do that once though.
