Why do people watch BIN items?

There are 7 or more watchers on some of my buy-it-now items. I get that some might just be checking out the market for an item, or thinking about a purchase they're not going to make, but none of my things are either special or mass market so 7+ seems a bit many.

It's just an idle wonder, really. Can't think why you wouldn't buy it now if you wanted it!

I only list things as Buy it Now or Best Offer. Lots of people wait for payday, I tend to get flurries of stuff selling in the last weekends of the month. Or people comparing things, or having something similar and wanting to be sure on price. Lots of reasons. It can be frustrating though

I do this because i want to compare prices, or check with dp, or remind myself to buy it later ie payday

Ah, payday! Grin Thanks!

Better finish listing my stuff this weekend, then ... god, I hate doing it. You make an excellent point, though.

Worth the effort though! I was away with dd at the end of last month and it was very satisfying hearing the 'kerching!' noise that the eBay app on my phone makes when something sells. It was definately people who'd been waiting for payday. Paid for us to have some really nice meals out over the weekend :)

I watch BIN stuff when it's something I think I am interested in but haven't decided yet, or am comparing prices, or want to buy later, or am choosing between a few things.

lots of people like to watch something while they decide if they want it too. I always have plenty of BIN watchers - someone eventually does buy generally so am not concerned.
