'Buy it now' or auction or both?

Help - have not sold on eBay before. DH says sell things as a Buy it Now, but I think people enjoy an auction more. Can you list as both?
Also I don't really want to start most things at 99p as frankly not worth the effort of lisitng, packing and driving to the PO. Does it put people off if you start a bit higher say 1.99, or obviously higher for more valuable items? Any ideas appreciated!

try buy it now with best offer? And nope, never start at 99p, total waste of time. If auction end at 8.30pm ish on Mon or Tues night. And try Hermes or Collect + instead of post office - proof of delivery and cheaper.

There is no reason to start an auction at 99p unless you think it will attract a lot of attention. You can start 20 listings month at any price and that includes 30 day BINs. You can edit the price to reduce it at any time if you think your initial offering was too high. So start the price high & work down to your true minimum.

As a buyer I don't like auctions & DC refuse to buy anything in auctions, they much prefer to pay more for BIN.
