eBay

Do you post to Russia?

Just that really. Been asked to accept bid from Russian eBayer and obviously can work out additional postage charges.

Just wondered what people's experiences are? My SIL lived in Russia for 2 years a decade ago and many items I sent her either went missing or had something taken from the box. Presumably some of the postal staff weren't very honest.

I would lose out totally if the buyer didn't receive the item but perhaps the problem that seemed to exist years back isn't an issue anymore?

I have done (last month) and the item did get there ok but after reading a few things about problems it is now on the list of places I don't post to which also now includes Italy as several people have mentioned problems sending things there (however I have posted to Italy in the past with no problems but I am being cautious). Maybe it would depend on the value of the item. You could send it international signed for as a bit of added protection but this will cost at least £10.

There's an ebay site that lists bad buyers (Ebaysucks.com?). I reckon 20% of bad ebayers on there are Russian. I couldn't risk it.

I think I'll leave it. Just having a clear out and it's a pair of BNWT leather gloves. Lots of watchers and a few bids so I'm sure I'll get a reasonable enough price in the UK.

Thanks for the advice.
