Non smelly mailing bags?

Have just ordered some grey plastic postage bags from eBay for my selling, and although they were super cheap, they smell of old fags!

Most of the stuff I'm selling is clothes and I'd hate anyone to think they were dirty.

Can anyone recommend any cheap fragrant ones? :)

eek, dont' lots of people just use bin bags folded over?
I use carriers, like the thicker ones clothes shops give out.

I've had some that stank like that before, I had to put a note in with the stuff I sold saying it was the new bags that smelt before I got bad feedback! I put my items in carrier bags first to minimise the smell on the stuff I was selling.

Buy the bags from a different seller. Wrap in tissue and you could pop a tumble dryer scented sheet cut in half in with your item. You could try airing the bags outside to get rid of smoky smell? I buy those mailing sacks and have never had a problem but they do smell quite plastic-y. I don't like receiving items in bin bags unless it might be a large odd shaped item.

I bought some purple ones which were quite different from how they appeared in the picture. And they were the smokescented grey ones in disguise!

Luckily they were large letter size so I got some Ziplok bags the same size which I now use to vacuum pack* the clothes so they don't slip/swell in the post and make it too fat for large letter. Then put them inside the mailing bag.

*Roll up to squeeze air out, or suck air out with a straw!
