eBay

Negative feedback left on item that hasn't been paid for?!

Hi all

I am new to selling on ebay so would appreciate some advice! I had (so I thought) sold an item as buy it now, collection only. When I contacted the seller they said they had pressed the wrong button and didn't want the item. Right. Then I noticed they have left me negative feedback simply stating "no good for me as I don't drive"

Any idea how I can get ths feedback removed? I have contacted them but they are very new to ebay so maybe don't know how it works? Argh!

Oh, and can I relist my item now or do I need to wait? (I did have a fair few watchers)

no - first of all you need to open a non paying bidder case on day 4, then wait another 4 days and manually close it, then the feedback can be removed and you can relist it or do a second chance offer.

make sure cash on collection only too - and add the non payer to your blocked bidder list.

Can you leave them feedback along the lines of 'buyer is a twat and doesn't read the details'.

This sooo pisses me off. Better luck with your next sale.

no you can't leave the buyer a neg, nor can you leave a neg statement for them on a positive rating.

Well you CAN leave a negative statement, but Ebay has the right to remove it (or any other statement they don't like).

you aren't allowed to leave a negative statement on a positive rating for a buyer - it is against the rules.

Only if they catch you. No one gets a message to notify them if they received neutral or neg. feedback. I don't read my f/back in detail. So if I got a Neg comment and never reported it, Ebay & me might never notice.

Or the recipient might not know how to report it, or be bothered about it.

Yes leave them a little negative feedback, do. If they don't like it they can have it removed. At least they might read the bloody description next time. These people piss me right off, bloody time wasters.

if a seller leaves a neg feedback comment they can get their knuckles rapped - it really is pointless. Just report them and give them a non payer strike.

You should be able to put a reply comment next to the feedback whilst you are waiting for Ebay to sort it out, eg: "Buyer never paid, Ebay currently investigating". (or something similar maybe). That should help potential bidders who spot your negative feedback and go to check it out.
