10 ebay listings a month - when does an ebay month run out?

We're moving house and I've got a whole heap of stuff to sell on ebay.

I've just noticed they say you can sell only 10 items a month. However it seems to imply that by a month they mean a calendar month, so my first allowance would start today (when I listed the first item) and run out at the end of Feb, in a just week, and then I could have another 10 for March.

Is that right? Or would I have to wait till March 22nd to add another 10? Does anyone know how they work it out?

TIA :)

I think if you hit the increase limits tab, you can upgrade to 100 listings per month straight away.

Eeek I just listed 11 games. I didn't realise this.

CuriousMama I think it only counts once you've actually sold 10 items. From reading the guidance very quickly, it sounds like if you sell 10, they'll end the 11th.

MumVsKids how do you do that? Does it cost money?

Does the amount you sell usually matter? (I've used ebay to sell only a few things, spread over several years.)

It doesn't cost to request a bigger selling allowance. I did it on Tuesday.

Is this a new thing? I've never heard of it before.

It's for new sellers. I've just started and have a limit of 10. Not yet requested an increase but need to. I think they increase it automatically once you have 10 positive feedbacks as seller.

you can request an increase once a month if totally new to selling it is selling 10 items so you can list 10 if 5 sell you can either relist 5 or add 5 new listings if then 3 sell you can list 2 more, it is a calender month and it is the end date that counts so anything listed for 7 days today with sell on 1st march so count as march, you could go for 5 days so they are feb then list more in march

they will hold money in paypal for 21 days or until buyer leaves feedback if sooner, but tempting though it is do not ask for feedback

most private sellers will be allowed 100 a month within 6 months
