I emailed the seller within minutes of the auction ending explaining that I had made a mistake (I've never felt so silly in all my life, I still don't know how I managed to do it ) and asking if it was possible for her to contact the second highest bidder and see if they still wanted the item. No response. Emailed again three days later, again explaining it was enitrely my fault but would she consider allowing me to wihdraw. Similarly, no response. Emailed a third time, no response. So assumed I would have to pay a did so. Seller has now opened a non paying bidder case against me. But I've already payed, albeit somewhat delayed. Can I assume that the case will be dismissed? I've contacted the help centre as suggested in the case email but haven't heard anything yet.
On a separate note I'd like to mention the seller's lack of communication in my feedback. A simple short response saying she would prefer to complete the sale as per my original bid and please could I pay up would have been perfectly fine - I never had any intention of not paying at all and was perfectly polite in my emails to her. But she ignored me three times and opened a case after I did pay! I assume a neutral wouldn't be justified but could I mark down on star rating and mentioned in written feedback?
